Dr. Jay Sklar
Dr. Jay Sklar is VP of Academics and Professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary. His research has focused on the Bible’s first five books: he did his PhD under pentateuchal scholar Gordon Wenham, has written one commentary on Numbers, and two on the book of Leviticus. The second has just been published in Zondervan’s ZECOT series.
His passion is trying to help resource those who are preaching and teaching the Bible, and especially to equip them to know how to speak of the Bible’s ancient texts in a modern context. He does this through his teaching, writing, speaking, and his website, which provides resources for those preaching and teaching in Genesis through Deuteronomy.
