Mike Chu is a born-and-bred Bostonian and fan of all Boston sports. He became a follower of Christ at the age of 15 in a local Chinese Heritage church, where his love for Jesus and the Scriptures began. Years later, Dr. Michael Heiser’s research rekindled his interest in pursuing formal theological training, and he earned his Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the spring of 2023. That same spring he became the Academic Director of Dr. Heiser’s AWKNG School of Theology, and he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching at Gordon-Conwell. He also co-hosts two podcasts. The Divine Council Worldview Podcast is a legacy project of the Michael S. Heiser Foundation, and Ask a Scholar is produced by AWKNG. In 2012 he and his wife Sofia helped plant what is now known as Granite City Church, a multi-ethnic congregation in Quincy, where he has served as a Teaching Pastor since the summer of 2023.
