
Dr. Joshua Mugg
Dr. Joshua Mugg is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Park University in Kansas City, where he also serves as Director of the Honors Academy and coordinates Philosophy & Religion and Interdisciplinary Studies. His research focuses on the philosophy of mind, science—especially psychology—and religion, with particular interest in human reasoning, belief, doubt, and the implications for philosophy of religion. He is the author of From Human Reasoning to Belief: An Empirical Account, in which he develops the Soundboard Account of Human Reasoning as an alternative to Dual-Process Theory. Dr. Mugg earned his PhD from York University in 2015 and is passionate about making a lasting impact on students both in and out of the classroom.
