Fausto Liriano is a global translation consultant specializing in biblical Hebrew idioms, orality, and the intersection of translation theory and Scripture transmission across languages and cultures. He holds a PhD from the Universitat de Barcelona focused on Hebrew Bible idioms involving lev and levav and their implications for translating Scripture into Indigenous languages of the Americas, along with an M.Phil. in Spanish Linguistics and Philology. His work bridges academic research and practical translation consulting, including contributions to Bible translation projects such as the YouVersion Bible App experience.

Prior to his academic work, Liriano served for nearly two decades as Senior Pastor of El Círculo Church and continues to engage in theological education and translation consulting globally. He has published widely on orality, memory, and biblical translation in journals such as The Bible Translator, as well as authored works on reading the Greek New Testament and Hebrew Bible for Cambridge publisher Timothy A. Lee.
